My two warriors led a charge against the big bad, and with the help of a some timely fire damage from my mystic, were able to get the boss relatively low on health. Vilun immediately decided that Kenther Lightning Arm was his rival, which did not do much for Vilun, but inspired Kenther to further acts of (sneaky) bravery.Дuring the final boss fight, everyone in my party was low on health. Trynne was a surprising competent hunter, and Vilun was a warrior that was much less useful. I spent my time training two new recruits, Trynne and Vilun. Poor Kenther, my ranger, lost an eye and an arm, but then gained a cool lighting arm from a magical well.ДЄfter failing the quest in Act 2, things looked pretty bleak. I wound up running the first two acts with only three characters, because I did not realize I could recruit more. I just finished my first game, and it felt suitably epic. IвЂ™ll usually save between 3 and 6 in case something shows up in events. So, if you have a lot, donвЂ™t feel afraid to use them to prevent enemy reinforcements, but always save a few. LP can also used to reinforce areas (and as such get some materials from that area by the end of the chapter), and you can use them in crafting between chapters to take the place of materials you donвЂ™t have. Otherwise, IвЂ™ll often use them to prevent the worse enemies from showing up, or to avoid the most annoying evolutions. IвЂ™ll try to keep at least 2 or 3 in store because they can be useful in certain events (and even save a characterвЂ™s life, or add that character to your legacy). Legacy points are used for a LOT of different things.

Who finished the original Tomb Raider never having fired anything but pistols for fear of wasting limited ammo? This guy. will doubtless tell me to go with my gut there, but my gut always tells me to horde any limited resource in a video game.

My next big obstacle is figuring out how to competently use Legacy points. I donвЂ™t need more mathematical detail than that, personally, since IвЂ™m not trying to min-max here, just make basically competent decisions about how to use my characters.

So my sense is, assign the character type thatвЂ™s well suited to the job to that task and, for the most part, use other characters for other things - thereвЂ™s little point assigning the whole party to anything as itвЂ™s a very inefficient use of labor. Adding non-warriors reduces that time, but not very efficiently - the first drops it to 12, another to 10, and another to 9. If he was here alone, heвЂ™d only need 15 days to do the job, same as three non-warriors. However, if I assign a warrior, heвЂ™s valued at 2x (which is explicitly stated in the heroes listing on the panel). If I add another character, that time drops to 20 days. So for example, if I assign a mystic or hunter to fortify, one character takes 30 days for a tier 1 fortification. So, messing with it a bit, more people add diminishing returns, and class bonus to the task matters way more than quantity. Do I clear this, gather that, send someone back to town to recruitвЂ¦ I donвЂ™t know!
